The banner ad on Shelf Awareness for The Winter Rose was incredibly popular; the total click-thrus rank the ad in the top 10 vs. all 2007 ads, and 2nd vs. 2007 skyscraper ads. The first day produced a top 10 click rate for a skyscraper, despite being placed in the 4th spot!
The ad above is for the movie edition of Cecelia Ahern’s book, PS, I Love You, published by Hyperion Books.
The ad at right appearing in USA Today was done for Ridley Pearson’s mystery The Body of David Hayes.
The ad below for the New Jersey Sanitary Supply Association appeared in Jan/San trade publications.
For print or web banner ads, BlissDesign can arrange fantastic photography, commission illustrators, use your images or find the appropriate stock to visually convey your message. Need ad copy? We can provide that, too.
We automate catalogs, here is an example of what we did for a client…

These spreads are from the Summer 2008 Hyperion Books catalog (right) featuring Mitch Albom’s For One More Day and Candace Bushnell’s One Fifth Avenue.
This sheet was produced to promote Julie Edelman’s The Ultimate Accidental Housewife.
This mock up of a hat (below) is for the promotion of The Mighty Queens of Freeville.
We provide creative approaches to present your statistical data.
In collaboration with the Communications Department at Seamen's Church Institute we have produced their annual reports from 2008 to present.
In this example (at right) we combined the talents of two people, one used Illustrator and one used Lightwave. We then brought both pieces into InDesign to create a unique approach to a plain pie chart that appeared in the 2005 UNICEF Annual Report.
BlissDesign, in close collaboration with CM Communications, has produced annual reports for ELANY, the Excess Line Association of New York for over ten years.
We are proud to have designed the annual report for the College of Staten Island, 1999 and 2000.
At left, folded, is a brochure for Carter Beats the Devil by Glen David Gold done for Hyperion Books. It features a gate fold with a die cut around the deck of cards. Below is the flat sheet.
Die cuts, foils, embossing, 6-color printing, can all make a product look absolutely terrific. Yet, the skilled designer can make 2-colors look fantastic as well. The Ostinato brochure is a 2-color project, using PMS 130 orange and black. It consists of one stock image, converted to a duotone in Photoshop, cropped showing different details, and a playful use of color in the type.
The 2-color Cosmetic Buyers Forum 3-panel, letter-fold brochure was co-produced with CM Communications for the Chain Drug Marketing Association.
BlissDesign works with many non-profit organizations, trade associations and corporations, producing journals, invitations, programs, and specialty items for promotions or fund raising purposes. Here are just a few examples.
A Bright Future, Tracking Study for the Craft Yarn Council is done about every 2 year, it consists of a projected presentation and a printed handout that highlights research done for yarn retailers.
For several years we have designed the journal and invitations for the annual fund raiser for the Staten Island Museum. This invite, for An Evening with Friends, is on white stock, painted the page with blue ink with stars sparking.
Another invite sample for the Craft yarn Council. Below is tour brochure for the Municipal Art Society, Jane Jacobs tours.
